FAQs

Solo? Couple? Friends?
Most of our travellers are solo, so joining a group tour is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends along the way. Travelling alone gives you flexibility, the chance to connect with others, and the freedom to follow your own adventure. If you’re coming with a friend or partner, just let us know when you book. We’ll make sure you’re paired together in the same room so you can enjoy the trip side by side.
Accommodation
On your trip, you’ll stay in comfortable twin-share hotel rooms, paired with another traveller from your tour. Forget hostels, our hand-picked hotels offer privacy, comfort, and a touch of luxury, with air conditioning or fans, reliable WiFi, and many featuring pools, gyms, or chill-out spaces. It’s the perfect base to relax after a day of exploring, making new friends, and living your adventure to the fullest.
Free Time
While our programmes are full of unforgettable experiences, there’s still plenty of time built in to relax, explore, or do your own thing. Whether you want to lounge on a beach, wander through local markets, try out a new cafe, or just take a quiet afternoon for yourself, the choice is yours. Your guides are always happy to share insider tips and recommend hidden gems, so you can make the most of every free moment. Free time is your chance to explore at your own pace, discover local culture, and create memories that are completely your own.
Pre and Post Tour
If you’re arriving early or staying on after your programme, we can help make the most of your extra time. Extra nights of accommodation before the tour starts can be booked easily through us, just get in touch with our team. Planning to continue your adventure once your trip ends? Our travel experts can offer advice on the best destinations, routes, and experiences to extend your journey, so you can explore confidently and make the most of your time abroad.
Arrival & Transfers
We provide an airport transfer on the day your trip begins. To make things easy, aim to arrive between 9am and 5pm on the start date. Once you’ve booked your flights, be sure to share your arrival details in the Manage My Booking area so we can coordinate your pick-up. If you’re arriving outside these times, don’t worry, we can help you arrange a private transfer at your own cost. Our team will give you all the details you need to meet your driver and get to your accommodation safely and smoothly. All in-country transport throughout your trip is included, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. We handle transfers between hotels, activity locations, and any pre-arranged excursions, using buses, trains, and boats where needed. Each tour page lists the correct airport to fly into and out of, so you’ll know exactly where to arrive and depart. If you're still unsure, just chat to the team!
Luggage & Packing
Pack light, pack smart, and be ready for anything. Bring versatile clothing for warm days, cooler evenings, and temple visits. A sturdy backpack or suitcase works fine, and you’ll have opportunities to do laundry along the way. Don’t forget essentials like chargers, travel documents, and a good pair of walking shoes for exploring
Flights
Flights are not included in the trip price and will need to be booked separately. We recommend securing your place on the trip before booking flights, as availability and dates can sometimes change and flight prices can fluctuate. Once your place is confirmed, our team is happy to help with advice on the best airports to fly into, typical routes, and timings to ensure your arrival runs smoothly.

Visa & Vaccinations
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the country you are visiting. For UK citizens travelling to Thailand, you can stay for up to 60 days without a visa as a tourist. Border control may ask for proof of departure within that time, such as a return or onward flight. Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and the country you are visiting. Some destinations, like Thailand, allow certain nationals to enter visa-free for a limited period, while others, such as Indonesia, may require a visa on arrival or in advance. It is your responsibility to check the latest visa and entry requirements before travelling. You can do this via the relevant embassy or consulate website, or reach out to our team for guidance. We also recommend checking with your GP or a travel health clinic for advice on vaccinations and other health precautions for the country you are visiting. Make sure to arrange any required vaccinations well in advance to ensure a smooth start to your trip.
Financial Protection
Yes, your trip is fully financially protected. We are members of ABTOT (Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust), which means that in the unlikely event of our company ceasing to trade, any money you’ve paid for your trip is secure. This includes the cost of your accommodation, and tour arrangements booked through us. Booking with us gives you peace of mind knowing your investment is safe and your adventure is protected from unexpected disruptions.
Medical & Dietary Requirements
You can inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements when booking on, and we’ll make sure these are taken into account throughout your trip. This includes allergies, intolerances, or any ongoing medical needs. For dietary requirements, we also recommend printing a card with your needs written in the local language, so you can feel confident when ordering food independently. We’ve supported many travellers with allergies and special diets, ensuring they stay safe, comfortable, and well-fed during their adventure.
Best Time to Travel
The Philippines enjoys a warm tropical climate all year round, making it a great destination whenever you visit. The dry season runs from November to May, bringing plenty of sunshine and ideal conditions for island hopping and beach days, while the wet season from June to October sees occasional tropical showers. Rain usually comes in short bursts rather than lasting all day, so there’s still plenty of time to explore. No matter when you travel, our trips are designed to make the most of the weather, so you can enjoy a mix of adventure, beach time, and exploring.
Money
In the Philippines, the local currency is the Philippine Peso, and while cards are accepted in some places, cash is widely used, especially on smaller islands and in local areas. For convenience and to avoid high foreign exchange fees, many travellers use a travel card such as Wise or Revolut. This allows you to pay in local currency with minimal charges, and you can also withdraw cash from ATMs if needed.
Food
The Philippines offers a great mix of local dishes, fresh seafood, and international options, so there’s plenty to try during your trip. Try classics like: Adobo: a rich, savoury dish made with meat, soy sauce, and vinegar Lechon: roasted pork, known for its crispy skin and flavour You’ll find everything from street food and local eateries to beachfront restaurants, with lots of opportunities to explore different flavours. Many meals are included on your itinerary, but you’ll also have free time to try local spots with your group. Vegetarian options are available, though choices can be more limited in some areas. For a full breakdown of what’s included, check the day-by-day itinerary on your tour page.
Do I need a visa?
UK passport holders can visit the Philippines for up to 30 days without a visa. If you’re planning to stay longer, extensions can be arranged locally. For the most up-to-date information, we always recommend checking official government guidance before you travel.
Nightlife
The Philippines has a fun, social nightlife scene, especially in beach destinations and island towns. From beachfront bars and sunset drinks to live music and late-night hangouts, there’s something for every vibe. Some nights are all about going out, others are more chilled, it’s completely up to you. Not a big drinker? No problem. There’s absolutely no pressure to drink on our trips, and plenty of people choose to stay sober or take nights off. It’s all about enjoying the atmosphere and the people you’re with.
Wildlife
The Philippines is home to incredible marine life and diverse ecosystems, especially across its islands and coastal regions. What you see will depend on where you travel, but expect opportunities to spot tropical fish, sea turtles, coral reefs, and a variety of marine species while snorkelling and island hopping. You may also come across native wildlife such as monkeys, birds, and other local species in more rural or jungle areas. We prioritise responsible and sustainable experiences, working with trusted local partners to ensure wildlife is respected and protected. While sightings can’t be guaranteed, every trip includes opportunities to connect with the Philippines’ unique natural environment in a safe and ethical way.
