FAQs

Solo? Couple? Friends?
Most of our travellers are solo, so joining a group tour is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends along the way. Travelling alone gives you flexibility, the chance to connect with others, and the freedom to follow your own adventure. If you’re coming with a friend or partner, just let us know when you book. We’ll make sure you’re paired together in the same room so you can enjoy the trip side by side.
Accommodation
On your trip, you’ll stay in comfortable twin-share hotel rooms, paired with another traveller from your tour. Forget hostels, our hand-picked hotels offer privacy, comfort, and a touch of luxury, with air conditioning or fans, reliable WiFi, and many featuring pools, gyms, or chill-out spaces. It’s the perfect base to relax after a day of exploring, making new friends, and living your adventure to the fullest.
Free Time
While our programmes are full of unforgettable experiences, there’s still plenty of time built in to relax, explore, or do your own thing. Whether you want to lounge on a beach, wander through local markets, try out a new cafe, or just take a quiet afternoon for yourself, the choice is yours. Your guides are always happy to share insider tips and recommend hidden gems, so you can make the most of every free moment. Free time is your chance to explore at your own pace, discover local culture, and create memories that are completely your own.
Pre and Post Tour
If you’re arriving early or staying on after your programme, we can help make the most of your extra time. Extra nights of accommodation before the tour starts can be booked easily through us, just get in touch with our team. Planning to continue your adventure once your trip ends? Our travel experts can offer advice on the best destinations, routes, and experiences to extend your journey, so you can explore confidently and make the most of your time abroad.
Arrival & Transfers
We provide an airport transfer on the day your trip begins. To make things easy, aim to arrive between 9am and 5pm on the start date. Once you’ve booked your flights, be sure to share your arrival details in the Manage My Booking area so we can coordinate your pick-up. If you’re arriving outside these times, don’t worry, we can help you arrange a private transfer at your own cost. Our team will give you all the details you need to meet your driver and get to your accommodation safely and smoothly. All in-country transport throughout your trip is included, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. We handle transfers between hotels, activity locations, and any pre-arranged excursions, using buses, trains, and boats where needed. Each tour page lists the correct airport to fly into and out of, so you’ll know exactly where to arrive and depart. If you're still unsure, just chat to the team!
Luggage & Packing
Pack light, pack smart, and be ready for anything. Bring versatile clothing for warm days, cooler evenings, and temple visits. A sturdy backpack or suitcase works fine, and you’ll have opportunities to do laundry along the way. Don’t forget essentials like chargers, travel documents, and a good pair of walking shoes for exploring
Flights
Flights are not included in the trip price and will need to be booked separately. We recommend securing your place on the trip before booking flights, as availability and dates can sometimes change and flight prices can fluctuate. Once your place is confirmed, our team is happy to help with advice on the best airports to fly into, typical routes, and timings to ensure your arrival runs smoothly.
Inclusions & Exclusions
What’s included? All trips include carefully selected accommodation, in-country transport, airport pickup on arrival, and a range of activities specific to your tour. You’ll also enjoy expert local guides, pre-departure support, and the chance to connect with a like-minded travel group. Visa & Vaccinations
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the country you are visiting. For UK citizens travelling to Thailand, you can stay for up to 60 days without a visa as a tourist. Border control may ask for proof of departure within that time, such as a return or onward flight. Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and the country you are visiting. Some destinations, like Thailand, allow certain nationals to enter visa-free for a limited period, while others, such as Indonesia, may require a visa on arrival or in advance. It is your responsibility to check the latest visa and entry requirements before travelling. You can do this via the relevant embassy or consulate website, or reach out to our team for guidance. We also recommend checking with your GP or a travel health clinic for advice on vaccinations and other health precautions for the country you are visiting. Make sure to arrange any required vaccinations well in advance to ensure a smooth start to your trip.
Financial Protection
Yes, your trip is fully financially protected. We are members of ABTOT (Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust), which means that in the unlikely event of our company ceasing to trade, any money you’ve paid for your trip is secure. This includes the cost of your accommodation, and tour arrangements booked through us. Booking with us gives you peace of mind knowing your investment is safe and your adventure is protected from unexpected disruptions.
Medical & Dietary Requirements
You can inform us of any medical conditions or dietary requirements when booking on, and we’ll make sure these are taken into account throughout your trip. This includes allergies, intolerances, or any ongoing medical needs. For dietary requirements, we also recommend printing a card with your needs written in the local language, so you can feel confident when ordering food independently. We’ve supported many travellers with allergies and special diets, ensuring they stay safe, comfortable, and well-fed during their adventure.
Group Leaders
Who are the group leaders? Your group leader is your go-to guide, mentor, and ultimate problem-solver while on tour. They know Thailand inside out, from hidden local spots to the best places to eat, and are there to make sure your trip runs smoothly. Think of them as your travel BFF who’s got your back 24/7. How big are the groups? Groups are kept small and social, usually between 12 and 22 travellers, so it’s easy to bond and make friends for life. You’ll meet people from all over the world, all sharing the same love of adventure and discovery. Can I get in touch with my group or leader before the trip? Yes! Around two weeks before your tour, your group leader will be added to your group WhatsApp. You’ll also be able to connect with your fellow travellers in our private destination-specific community so you can start sharing tips, hype, and travel excitement before you even arrive.
Why a Group Tour
Skip the stress and dive straight into the adventure. With us, all the planning is done, so you can focus on exploring Thailand’s highlights, hidden gems, and local experiences. Travel with a fun, like-minded group, make friends for life, and enjoy 24/7 support from our team every step of the way.
DBS
Some of our programmes require a DBS check or the equivalent background check for your country of residence. If this applies to your trip, we’ll make this clear during the booking process. If you’re a UK resident, you can use an existing Enhanced DBS check as long as it was issued within the last 12 months. If you don’t already have one, no stress, we can arrange this for you. The DBS service can be added directly to your booking through your Manage My Booking portal. If you’re based outside the UK, you’ll need to provide the equivalent background check from your home country. Our team will guide you on what’s accepted and how to obtain it, so everything is organised well before you travel.
Visa & Vaccinations
Visa requirements depend on your nationality, but for UK passport holders, Vietnam and Cambodia have slightly different entry rules. You can visit Vietnam for up to 45 days without a visa. For Cambodia, you’ll need a visa on arrival, which is a simple process at the border or airport. Your local guide will be there to support you during the Cambodia entry process, so everything runs smoothly. As requirements can change, it’s your responsibility to check the latest visa and entry guidance before travelling. We recommend checking official government websites or speaking to our team if you need support. We recommend checking with your GP or a travel health clinic for the latest advice on vaccinations and health precautions for Vietnam and Cambodia. It’s best to arrange any vaccinations well in advance of your trip to ensure you’re fully prepared and can travel with confidence.
Money
The currency in Vietnam is the Vietnamese Dong and for Cambodia is the Cambodian Riel
Food
The food in both countries is amazing! Be sure to try Banh Mi (crispy baguette sandwich) and Pho (aromatic noodle soup) in Vietnam. For Cambodia, don’t miss Amok Trei (creamy coconut fish curry) and Lok Lak (stir-fried beef with lime and pepper sauce). Plenty of western options are also available.
Money
In Vietnam, the local currency is the Vietnamese Dong, and cash is widely used, especially in markets, smaller shops, and local restaurants, so it’s a good idea to have some on hand. For convenience and to avoid high foreign exchange fees, many travellers use a travel card such as Wise or Revolut. This allows you to pay in local currency with minimal charges, and you can also withdraw cash from ATMs if needed.

Vietnam has a varied climate from north to south, but it’s a great destination year-round. • North (Hanoi, Ha Long Bay): Cooler from November to March, warmer from April to October • Central (Hoi An): Warm most of the year, with more rain from September to November • South (Ho Chi Minh): Warm year-round, with a wet season from May to October No matter when you travel, our trips are designed to make the most of each region, so you’ll always experience a mix of culture, adventure, and great weather along the way.
Food
Vietnam’s food scene is one of the highlights of any trip, with fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and a huge variety of dishes. Try classics like: Pho: a traditional noodle soup packed with flavour Banh Mi: a Vietnamese baguette filled with meats, vegetables, and herbs From street food stalls to local restaurants, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to try authentic dishes throughout your trip. Many meals are included on your itinerary, but you’ll also have free time to explore and find your own favourite spots. Vegetarian and vegan options are widely available, and dishes can often be adapted to suit different preferences. For a full breakdown, check the day-by-day itinerary on your tour page.
Nightlife
Vietnam has a lively and social nightlife scene, especially in cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. From bustling beer streets and rooftop bars to live music and late-night cafés, there’s something for every vibe, whether you want a big night out or something more relaxed. Not a big drinker? No problem. There’s absolutely no pressure to drink on our trips, and plenty of people choose to take things at their own pace. It’s all about enjoying the atmosphere and the people you’re with
Visa & Vaccinations
UK passport holders can visit Vietnam for up to 45 days without a visa. You may be asked to show proof of onward travel, so it’s worth having these details ready when you arrive. We recommend checking official government websites or speaking to our team if you need support. We recommend checking with your GP or a travel health clinic for the latest advice on vaccinations and health precautions for Vietnam.
