FAQ's
Solo? Couple? Friends?
Most of our travellers are solo, so joining a group tour is a great way to meet like-minded people and make new friends along the way. Travelling alone gives you flexibility, the chance to connect with others, and the freedom to follow your own adventure. If you’re coming with a friend or partner, just let us know when you book. We’ll make sure you’re paired together in the same room so you can enjoy the trip side by side.
Accommodation
On your trip, you’ll stay in comfortable twin-share hotel rooms, paired with another traveller from your tour. Forget hostels, our hand-picked hotels offer privacy, comfort, and a touch of luxury, with air conditioning or fans, reliable WiFi, and many featuring pools, gyms, or chill-out spaces. It’s the perfect base to relax after a day of exploring, making new friends, and living your adventure to the fullest.
Free Time
While our programmes are full of unforgettable experiences, there’s still plenty of time built in to relax, explore, or do your own thing. Whether you want to lounge on a beach, wander through local markets, try out a new cafe, or just take a quiet afternoon for yourself, the choice is yours. Your guides are always happy to share insider tips and recommend hidden gems, so you can make the most of every free moment. Free time is your chance to explore at your own pace, discover local culture, and create memories that are completely your own.

Arrival & Transfers
We provide an airport transfer on the day your trip begins. To make things easy, aim to arrive between 9am and 5pm on the start date. Once you’ve booked your flights, be sure to share your arrival details in the Manage My Booking area so we can coordinate your pick-up. If you’re arriving outside these times, don’t worry, we can help you arrange a private transfer at your own cost. Our team will give you all the details you need to meet your driver and get to your accommodation safely and smoothly. All in-country transport throughout your trip is included, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. We handle transfers between hotels, activity locations, and any pre-arranged excursions, using buses, trains, and boats where needed. Each tour page lists the correct airport to fly into and out of, so you’ll know exactly where to arrive and depart. If you're still unsure, just chat to the team!
Luggage & Packing
Pack light, pack smart, and be ready for anything. Bring versatile clothing for warm days, cooler evenings, and temple visits. A sturdy backpack or suitcase works fine, and you’ll have opportunities to do laundry along the way. Don’t forget essentials like chargers, travel documents, and a good pair of walking shoes for exploring
Flights
Flights are not included in the trip price and will need to be booked separately. We recommend securing your place on the trip before booking flights, as availability and dates can sometimes change and flight prices can fluctuate. Once your place is confirmed, our team is happy to help with advice on the best airports to fly into, typical routes, and timings to ensure your arrival runs smoothly.
Group Leaders
Who are the group leaders? Your group leader is your go-to guide, mentor, and ultimate problem-solver while on tour. They know Thailand inside out, from hidden local spots to the best places to eat, and are there to make sure your trip runs smoothly. Think of them as your travel BFF who’s got your back 24/7. How big are the groups? Groups are kept small and social, usually between 12 and 22 travellers, so it’s easy to bond and make friends for life. You’ll meet people from all over the world, all sharing the same love of adventure and discovery. Can I get in touch with my group or leader before the trip? Yes! Around two weeks before your tour, your group leader will be added to your group WhatsApp. You’ll also be able to connect with your fellow travellers in our private destination-specific community so you can start sharing tips, hype, and travel excitement before you even arrive.
Money
In Cambodia, US dollars are widely accepted alongside the local currency (Cambodian Riel), so you’ll often use a mix of both during your trip. For convenience and to avoid high foreign exchange fees, many travellers use a travel card such as Wise or Revolut. This allows you to pay in local currency with minimal charges, and you can also withdraw cash from ATMs if needed.
Best Time to Travel
Cambodia enjoys warm tropical weather all year round, making it a great destination whenever you visit. The dry season runs from November to April, bringing plenty of sunshine and ideal conditions for exploring temples and cities, while the green season from May to October sees short tropical showers that keep the landscapes lush and vibrant. Even during the wetter months, rain usually comes in quick bursts rather than lasting all day, so there’s still plenty of time to explore. No matter when you travel, our tours are designed to make the most of the local conditions, so you’ll always enjoy a mix of culture, adventure, and unforgettable experiences.
Food
Cambodia’s food scene is full of flavour, with a mix of traditional Khmer dishes, street food favourites, and international options. Try classics like: Amok: a creamy coconut curry, often served with fish Lok Lak: stir-fried beef served with rice and a tangy dipping sauce You’ll find a great mix of local cuisine and familiar options throughout your trip, from street food markets to cafés and restaurants. Expect fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and plenty of new dishes to try. Many meals are included on your itinerary, but you’ll also have free time to explore and find your own favourite spots. Vegetarian and vegan options are widely available, and most places can cater to different dietary needs. For a full breakdown of what’s included, check the day-by-day itinerary on your tour page.
Nightlife
Cambodia’s nightlife is laid-back, social, and full of variety. From rooftop bars and riverside drinks in Phnom Penh to lively night markets and buzzing bars in Siem Reap, there’s plenty to explore once the sun goes down. Whether you’re heading out for cocktails, live music, or a relaxed evening with the group, there’s something for every vibe. Not a big drinker? No problem. There’s absolutely no pressure to drink on our trips, and plenty of people choose to stay sober or take nights off. Whether you’re there for the atmosphere, the food, or just good company, you’ll always feel comfortable doing things your own way.
Do I need a visa?
UK passport holders can visit Cambodia by obtaining a visa on arrival, which is a simple and straightforward process at the airport. Your local guide will be there to assist and make sure everything runs smoothly, so you don’t need to worry about figuring it out alone. For the most up-to-date information, we always recommend checking official government guidance before you travel.
