Today, we’ll travel just like the locals do – hopping into colorful jeepneys for an unforgettable day of connection and adventure. Our first stop takes us to Daracotan for a meaningful volunteering experience that leaves a lasting positive impact on the local community.
The day begins at Teneguiban School, where you’ll join the kids for a heartwarming session of English lessons. Your presence not only helps them learn but also brings smiles and encouragement to these young minds. To further support their education, a generous donation will be made to the school, contributing to brighter futures for the students.
After a morning of meaningful interactions, sit down to enjoy a delicious local lunch with the kids, sharing stories and laughter over authentic Filipino flavors.
In the afternoon, we’ll hop back into the jeepney and head to the breathtaking Nacpan Beach – 5.2 kilometers of pure paradise. Spend your afternoon swimming in the crystal-clear waters, basking under the sun, or simply unwinding on one of the most stunning stretches of sand you’ll ever see.

Getting There
Starts
Puerto Princesa (PPS) We recommend arriving between 9am – 5pm on day 1 so you can meet your local guide in the arrivals hall. They will be wearing Camp t-shirts and will be holding a sign (You can’t miss them!). If you can, we think arriving earlier rather than later on the start day is better to allow for some down time at the hotel before the orientation and evening activities. If you do not arrive in the selected window, you will be responsible for making your own way to the accommodation. Your local guide will be able to advise on this in the group chat. If you are planning to arrive a day earlier and want to stay near the airport in a hotel at your own cost just let us know and you can come back to the airport for the pickup window.

On the last day of Camp we recommend a flight after midday, to give yourself time to recover and make sure you have time for any onward travel arrangements. Remember you’ll need to check-in at the airport 2-3 hours prior.

Arrival & Transfers
We provide an airport transfer on the day your trip begins. To make things easy, aim to arrive between 9am and 5pm on the start date. Once you’ve booked your flights, be sure to share your arrival details in the Manage My Booking area so we can coordinate your pick-up.
If you’re arriving outside these times, don’t worry, we can help you arrange a private transfer at your own cost. Our team will give you all the details you need to meet your driver and get to your accommodation safely and smoothly.
All in-country transport throughout your trip is included, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. We handle transfers between hotels, activity locations, and any pre-arranged excursions, using buses, trains, and boats where needed.
Each tour page lists the correct airport to fly into and out of, so you’ll know exactly where to arrive and depart. If you're still unsure, just chat to the team!
Luggage & Packing
Pack light, pack smart, and be ready for anything. Bring versatile clothing for warm days, cooler evenings, and temple visits. Who are the group leaders?
Your group leader is your go-to guide, mentor, and ultimate problem-solver while on tour. They know Thailand inside out, from hidden local spots to the best places to eat, and are there to make sure your trip runs smoothly. Think of them as your travel BFF who’s got your back 24/7.
How big are the groups?
Groups are kept small and social, usually between 12 and 22 travellers, so it’s easy to bond and make friends for life. You’ll meet people from all over the world, all sharing the same love of adventure and discovery.
Can I get in touch with my group or leader before the trip?
Yes! Around two weeks before your tour, your group leader will be added to your group WhatsApp. You’ll also be able to connect with your fellow travellers in our private destination-specific community so you can start sharing tips, hype, and travel excitement before you even arrive.
Best Time to Travel
The Philippines enjoys a warm tropical climate all year round, making it a great destination whenever you visit. The dry season runs from November to May, bringing plenty of sunshine and ideal conditions for island hopping and beach days, while the wet season from June to October sees occasional tropical showers.
Rain usually comes in short bursts rather than lasting all day, so there’s still plenty of time to explore.
No matter when you travel, our trips are designed to make the most of the weather, so you can enjoy a mix of adventure, beach time, and exploring.
Money
In the Philippines, the local currency is the Philippine Peso, and while cards are accepted in some places, cash is widely used, especially on smaller islands and in local areas.
For convenience and to avoid high foreign exchange fees, many travellers use a travel card such as Wise or Revolut. This allows you to pay in local currency with minimal charges, and you can also withdraw cash from ATMs if needed.
Food
The Philippines offers a great mix of local dishes, fresh seafood, and international options, so there’s plenty to try during your trip.

Do I need a visa?
UK passport holders can visit the Philippines for up to 30 days without a visa.
If you’re planning to stay longer, extensions can be arranged locally. For the most up-to-date information, we always recommend checking official government guidance before you travel.

The Philippines has a fun, social nightlife scene, especially in beach destinations and island towns.
From beachfront bars and sunset drinks to live music and late-night hangouts, there’s something for every vibe. Some nights are all about going out, others are more chilled, it’s completely up to you.
Not a big drinker? No problem. There’s absolutely no pressure to drink on our trips, and plenty of people choose to stay sober or take nights off. It’s all about enjoying the atmosphere and the people you’re with.
